Vlog #54 | 3 MINUTES OF HELL, WE WALKED IMMEDIATELY
We showed up to give a simple estimate. Before we even had a chance to walk the yard, she came out grumpy, started insulting us with sarcastic laughs after every comment, and then straight up started yelling. First thing she asked was, “Do you even know the difference between weeds and flowers?” — then laughed like we were clowns. We weren’t there more than three minutes before we walked. Her last lawn guy? He walked off too. This was one for the books…

We Installed Our Own Flagpole for the 4th 🇺🇸 Back Went Out, But the Flag Still Went Up
This 4th of July, the family and I made some great memories putting up our first flagpole at our new home here in Arkansas. We broke out the Ryobi auger, got the kids involved, and made it happen. Early in the week, I had just started filming an intro for the DECKED drawer system install when my back gave out — dropped me on the couch for five straight days. I included that quick clip in the video to show where things got off track. Still, we got the flag flying in time, and that’s what matters. Happy Independence Day from our family to yours.

Can an All-Electric Greenworks Commercial 30" Mower Handle a 70° Slope
Client’s backyard hits up to a 70° angle—no chance for the OptimusZ 60” or stand-on mowers. They slid. We brought out the Greenworks Commercial 30” walk-behind, 80V electric mower. No ropes. No tricks. Just raw Arkansas terrain and one serious machine. Did it hold the line… or fall off the mountain?

Running the Greenworks Commercial 60-inch OptimusZ and the Optimus string trimmer on the T-Rex arm.
First cut for a new client right here on the lake in the Ozarks. This one-acre residential property hadn’t been touched in a while, so it needed a solid cleanup. I’m running the Greenworks Commercial OptimusZ 60-inch, 24kW zero-turn paired with the Optimus string trimmer mounted on the T-Rex arm. Out here in the Ozarks, you’re constantly dealing with uneven terrain and hidden rocks—especially near the lake and in mountain areas. This setup handles it without a problem. The OptimusZ glides around the rocky spots like nothing, making the job smooth and efficient. Jessica came along for this one—she gave the client a quote on future landscaping and was kind enough to film a few clips while I was out there doing my thing. More lakefront cuts coming soon. #GreenworksCommercial #OptimusZ #LawnCare #Lakefront #Ozarks #MowingLife #StringTrimmer #ZeroTurn #SideHustleMowing

UPDATE! New Series Drop: We just took delivery for the new DECKED drawer system
New series starts now! We just took delivery of our brand new DECKED drawer system for the truck — and this video kicks it all off. I reached out to DECKED to see if they’d be open to a trade — no money changed hands, this isn’t a sponsored video. They were generous enough to send us a full system in exchange for a few honest videos. That’s exactly what we’re going to do. I’ve wanted one of these for a long time, and I’m genuinely excited to put it to work and share the real-world results. Huge thanks to the team at DECKED for trusting our little channel. This is just the beginning — more videos coming soon. DECKED Drawer System https://decked.com/

Vlog #49 | ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Greenworks Mower DOWN — Unreal... IT BROKE !!!!
My Greenworks Commercial Optimus 30” self-propelled mower went down — and it took nearly two months to get it fixed and running again. It all started with a routine blade change. What I didn’t know — and what’s never mentioned in the manual — is that the blade bolt is reverse-threaded. And to make things worse, it had Loctite on it. That combo snapped the bolt clean off in the spindle. Loctite on a commercial mower that needs blade changes every few days just doesn’t make sense. Now, to be fair, the delay wasn’t all Greenworks’ fault. Living out here in rural Arkansas makes everything more complicated. If we were still in Florida, where our dealer was just down the street, this would’ve been fixed in less than a week. Out here? It’s not that simple. To their credit, ***** worked hard and stayed on it. After some frustrating early communication — where I had to re-explain the situation over and over to different reps — I finally asked to speak to a manager. She stepped in, took control, and things moved quickly after that. ***** went the extra mile, calling around and doing the legwork to find a reliable repair shop for me. I turned down a bunch of options they found early on — a lot of places just weren’t qualified, and I don’t hand off my equipment to just anyone. I’m a little more picky than most (okay, a lot more picky). These machines are like my toys, and I like to keep them in pristine condition — call it OCD, but that’s just how I run. Eventually, found Greg’s Farm Services, only about an hour and a half from us — which honestly isn’t bad when you live in the middle of nowhere. Greg’s team did a great job. They got the broken bolt extracted without damaging anything, and got me back up and running. I now know I have a trusted shop I can go to if anything goes down in the future, and that gives me real peace of mind.

How Fast Can I Cut 2 Acres with the Greenworks OptimusZ 60” Zero-Turn? 💨 16MPH Beast Mode!
My wife and I were out at a client’s property, putting the Greenworks Commercial OptimusZ 60” Zero-Turn to the test. This all-electric beast can hit speeds up to 16 MPH, and it tore through 2 acres without breaking a sweat. She filmed while I mowed — and the OptimusZ made it look easy. This is what commercial battery power is supposed to be: quiet, fast, and built for real work. Big thanks to Greenworks Commercial for making serious equipment that gets the job done.

The Job That Wouldn’t End | Weather, Roots, Rocks Pure Hell ... FULL Transformation
We took on a 40-year-old rock garden that hadn’t been touched in decades — overgrown, packed with roots, rocks buried deep, and every plant had to be sourced one by one. Then came the rain. Tornado warnings. Mud. More delays. This job just wouldn’t end. We had to move every single rock by hand and drill every planting hole into rocky Arkansas clay. No machine, just me, my family, and the Ryobi 18V Auger, which honestly earned its keep. The Ryobi handheld blower came in handy too for cleanup — and after all the headaches, sprained thumbs, and bad weather, we turned this disaster into a clean, fresh knockout rose garden. Not sure I’d do it again. But we finished it — and we don’t quit. Watch to the end to see how far this one came.

Vlog #47 | Installed Equipment Defender Racks in My Enclosed Trailer – Long Overdue, Great Upgrade
After putting it off for way too long, I finally installed the Equipment Defender four-position handheld rack and the backpack blower rack inside my enclosed trailer. I didn’t want to drill into the walls, but with work picking up, I had to stop tripping over my gear and just get it done. It’s already made a huge difference—glad I finally pulled the trigger. This is NOT a how-to video. I’m showing how I did it, but I’m no expert. If you’re looking for a clean tutorial, this ain’t it. Here’s what happened: On day one, I unpacked the rack and noticed the mounting bracket wouldn’t fit on the main bar—turns out there was a small weld bead in the way. I called up Equipment Defender the next day, and they were awesome. They said they’d send a replacement out overnight. But when UPS finally showed up, the driver dropped off the wrong package, and even took my original rack back with him. Total screw-up. I had an All-Electric EXPO coming up that weekend where we were invited to show off the trailer and our Greenworks gear, so timing was critical. With no rack and the weekend coming fast, I decided to fix it myself. I ground down the weld bead, hit it with a little Rust-Oleum, and the bracket went right on—no problem. Got the racks installed just in time. The replacement rack from Equipment Defender didn’t show up until Tuesday, so I’ll be sending that back. Honestly, their racks are solid, and they were great to deal with. UPS just blew it on this one. Because of all that, we didn’t make it to the Expo—but we’ll be ready next time. Tools Used to Install the Racks: • Ryobi Impact Drill • Ryobi Drill Bits • Ryobi Level • Ryobi Square What’s Mounted on the Equipment Defender Racks: • Greenworks Commercial OptimusZ String Trimmers • Greenworks Commercial Edger • Greenworks Commercial Pole Saw • Greenworks Commercial Telescopic Edger • Greenworks Commercial 82V Dual Port Backpack Blower (Model: 82BA26-52DP) Big thanks again to Equipment Defender—these racks are built to last, and their customer service was on point. Just wish UPS hadn’t slowed the whole thing down.

UPDATE: Equipment Defender called me first thing this morning and confirmed this should’ve never shipped out like that. Props to them for handling it quickly and making it right.

Vlog #46 | Finally Installed T-Rax String Trimmer Rack Zero-Turn – Total Game Changer
In this video, I’m unboxing and installing the T-Rex String Trimmer Rack onto my ZeroTurn mower. This thing is simple but a total game changer. It holds the string trimmer securely to the mower so you’re not walking back to the trailer or awkwardly holding it in your lap anymore. If you’ve got large properties or just want to move more efficiently, this upgrade is a no-brainer. It’s one of those things I should’ve installed a long time ago. I walk you through how to mount the rack, how it works, and why it’s now a permanent part of my setup. Gear Featured: – T-Rex Trimmer Rack

Another Day, Another Delay – New Equipment Defender Rack… and I Need My Grinder?! What a let down
was excited to finally get my Equipment Defender racks in today and start outfitting the trailer. But no surprise here—it’s another hold-up. One of the hand tool rack parts won’t fit at all due to a weld bead that was never ground down. I shouldn’t have to take a grinder to brand-new powder-coated gear just to make it usable. This must’ve slipped past quality control, but that doesn’t help me when I’ve got work tomorrow and gear I can’t install. Posting this here as a reference before I reach out to them.

Vlog #45 | Installing Trekassy Chocks These Wheel Chocks Are Game Changers
Finally got around to installing the Trekassy wheel chocks in the enclosed trailer—and I wish I had done this months ago. These things are heavy-duty and come with a rubber top that grips the tires tight. No more slipping, no more shifting—just lock it in and go. Of course, it wouldn’t be a normal day without something going sideways. Got the OptimusZ 60 ZeroTurn stuck in some seriously mushy ground. Didn’t think it could happen, but it did. Had to call in the family for a good old-fashioned mower rescue mission. Thankfully, I had another machine on hand to help pull it out. Quick install, big difference. The trailer’s finally dialed in, and now the mowers stay where they belong. Makes life a whole lot easier when you’re loading and working around gear.

Vlog #44 | This Nearly Broke, Me I Didn’t Expect This / Full Front Yard Transformation
On The Job | Full Front Yard Transformation (Days 2–4) Part two of our biggest front yard project yet, covering days two, three, and four. This wasn’t easy: I sprained my wrist, smashed the watch I’ve had for over 20 years (it survived), and the roots fought back hard. Luckily, I had Jessica and the kids by my side the entire way. Jessica took charge teaching the kids how to plant properly, and we all worked together to get this one across the finish line. We dug through roots, planted shrubs with the Ryobi auger, moved mulch with the Ryobi tractor, and knocked out every part of this front yard transformation as a family. You’ll see nursery runs, trailer hauls, tough ground prep, and a lot of sweat — but it was worth it in the end. If you stuck through all 1 hour and 7 minutes of this video, you’re a legend. Thanks for watching us get it done together. Equipment featured: – Ryobi auger – Ryobi tractor – Trailer + mulch setup – Hand tools + more
