Our local post office needed some help. The previous lawn service had stopped showing up consistently, and the property was getting pretty overgrown. We had already submitted a quote to take over the lawn service, but the contract hadn't been approved yet. If the government had inspected the property in the condition it was in, it would have failed. After finishing a full day of servicing our regular clients, Jessica and I drove past, stopped in and asked what was going on with the mowing. We told them we'd go ahead and take care of it even though the contract hadn't been approved yet. It also gave us a chance to put the Greenworks Commercial Optimus Z equipment to work on some serious slopes. Parts of this property were around 45° and in some spots closer to 55°. I ran the Greenworks Commercial Optimus Z 60" 24kWh stand-on, and I couldn't believe how well it handled those hills. It felt like it was on rails. We're still fairly new to working on slopes like this, so this was a great real-world test. Jessica was running the Optimus Z 24kWh zero-turn equipped with the ETO blower, while my 60" stand-on was equipped with the six-port ETO 82V charger. We also used the 17" Optimus string trimmer for the trimming and edging. Both mowers are equipped with GrassFlap chute blockers, which are extremely important for us, especially when mowing around public areas. Here in the Ozarks, rocks and stones are everywhere, so being able to control the discharge from the mower is a big deal. First impressions and first cut with the Yarbo. I let our five-acre back field grow for about three weeks because I knew the Yarbo was coming and wanted to give it a proper test. The grass was around 8 inches tall, and I have to say, it handled it really well. What surprised me most was the cut quality and the stripes. Jessica and I had actually driven past this house after we had already purchased our own place. When we found out this one had been for sale, we both said immediately that we would have bought it in a heartbeat. The crazy part is, it had literally sold just two days before we saw it. Since then, the owner, Jeff, and his wife have become good friends of ours. Jeff had just gotten back from vacation, was completely swamped with work, and had fallen behind on mowing the property. It hadn't been cut in about two months, so he asked if we could help him out. Our schedule was already completely booked with clients, but he's a friend, so Jessica and I headed over on our day off and tackled all five acres. In this video, we're taking you through the entire property from start to finish with a mix of POV and wide-angle footage. In this video, I’m installing the GrassFlap along with the all-new three-position hand lever, then putting it to work for some real-world testing and first impressions. The new hand lever gives you three positions — fully open, halfway open, and completely closed — and after using it, I absolutely love it. That halfway position is a game changer. This 36-inch Optimus Z is our go-to machine for backyards, smaller gates, fenced-in areas, and places where our larger machines simply can’t get through. That also means we’re often mowing close to houses, vehicles, landscaping, windows, and other things we definitely don’t want to hit with flying debris. Here in the Ozarks, we joke that we have more rocks than grass. Even on beautiful properties, you never know what might be hiding down in the turf. Just got the new Grass Flap for the 36-inch Greenworks Commercial Optimus Z stand-on. Very excited to finally have this thing! I got it installed today and tried it out for the first time, and this thing is absolutely amazing. If you have the 36-inch stand-on, I highly recommend it. We’re changing things up for the next month or so and bringing you along from our point of view. For this one, you’re getting the **whole job from start to finish, POV style**. From the time we arrive until we’re finished, you get to see how Jessica and I work through this 2-acre lakefront property from our perspective. It’s one of our favorite properties and one you’ve seen quite a few times on the channel. While I’m mowing, Jessica is spraying weed killer on the gravel driveway and the walkway down to the boat dock. We had sprayed it before, but it rained about a day and a half later and only around half of it took, so we went back over it again. It was also **105°F**, and at the time we filmed this, we hadn’t had rain in about a month. The grass is still looking pretty good, but you can definitely see the effects of the drought in certain areas. We’re running **all electric with Greenworks Commercial equipment** on this property, from the mower to the handheld tools. One of the things that still amazes us is how little it actually costs to run all of this equipment. For this entire mow, we estimate the electricity used came in at **less than 50 cents**. We’re also running a **GrassFlap chute blocker** on the OptimusZ. It’s one of those simple pieces of equipment that makes a huge difference when mowing around driveways, landscaping, water, buildings and anywhere else you need to control where the clippings are going. The foot-controlled setup lets us open and close the discharge without taking our hands off the mower controls. We’re back with another full POV lawn care video — start to finish! Jessica and I strapped on the DJI Osmo Action 6 cameras and decided to bring you along for the entire job from our point of view. We’ve been having an absolute blast making these POV videos, and we have to give a shoutout to Johnny from Blades of Grass Lawn Care for inspiring us to start doing them. This property is about 1.5 acres, but right now I’d say only about 30% of it is actual grass. The rest is rock, dust, weeds, leaves, sticks and everything else Mother Nature can throw at us. We’ve been dealing with a brutal drought here in the Ozarks for about a month and a half. Temperatures have been hitting around 100–105°F with basically no rain, and there doesn’t seem to be much relief in sight. We originally came out here thinking we were escaping the Florida heat… somehow we found hotter weather. 😂 This client is a wonderful widow whose property we’ve been taking care of for quite some time. If you’ve watched some of our older videos, you may remember when we first cleaned this place up. There were several years worth of leaves covering the property, and it took us days to get everything back under control. Now it’s all about maintenance. And lawn maintenance isn’t always just about cutting grass. Even when the grass stops growing, the weeds don’t. Leaves keep falling. Limbs, sticks and debris keep piling up. Keeping a property maintained means keeping the entire property looking clean and cared for — especially during conditions like this. On this visit I handled the mowing while Jessica took care of the blowing and cleanup. There really wasn’t enough grass here to justify running two mowers, and working together we knocked out the entire 1.5-acre property in roughly 45 minutes. We’ve moved most of our properties to every two to three weeks during this drought, but they still need attention. A lot of people don’t realize how much debris builds up until the cleanup is finished and suddenly the entire property looks completely different. We were also pushing hard this particular week — knocking out an additional 36 properties so we could get everything taken care of before heading to the Greenworks Commercial press event. Leaf season has already arrived here in the Ozarks. 🍂 With the drought and lack of rain, the trees are stressed and dropping their leaves early. Fall came early for us this year, and we’re already in full leaf season. Jessica and I are back at this beautiful waterfront property here in the Ozarks for our second-to-last visit before the homeowner takes the lawn back over. We’ve put a lot of work into this property. When we first started, the lawn was in rough shape and loaded with weeds. Over time, we worked on restoring the grass, getting it healthy again, and bringing the entire property back to where it needed to be. By this visit, the results were really showing. The grass was thick, lush, and looking absolutely beautiful. Jessica and I were extremely proud of what we accomplished with this lawn. On this visit, we’re giving everything another full service — mowing, trimming, blowing, and applying Weed & Feed, which ended up working amazingly well. In this video, Part 2, we're putting the YARBO Lawn Mower Pro to work on approximately five acres of our property here in the Ozarks. We're creating the paths, mapping out the main back field, and finally getting to see what this machine can really do. And I have to say—the YARBO is the stripe king of robot mowers. I couldn't believe the stripes this thing laid down. It went through grass that was around 12 inches tall without a problem and left behind an absolutely beautiful cut. The striping was so impressive that I'd put it up against what I get from my $30,000 commercial mower. But one of my favorite things about the YARBO has nothing to do with the cut—it's getting my time back. Once everything is mapped and programmed, YARBO does the work. It mows, returns to the docking station when it needs to recharge, charges itself, and then heads back out to continue where it left off. It was mowing while I was sleeping, and it was mowing while I was out working all day. After spending a full day cutting clients' properties in 95-degree weather, the last thing I want to do when I get home is climb onto another mower and cut my own five acres. Instead, I came home and YARBO had almost finished it for me. That means more time to relax, spend time with my family, and less time sitting outside dealing with the heat, mosquitoes and ticks here in the Ozarks. I've tested quite a few robotic mowers, and this machine continues to impress me. The customer never asked for it, but it was driving me crazy, so I finally decided to tackle it. The whole thing was re-edged with the Greenworks Commercial 82V OPTIMUS 1.6 kW 17” String Trimmer. Rocks flying, grass everywhere, but the end result was absolutely worth it. Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference.

Lymow One Plus: One Month Later | Blade Change, Sharpening & Real World Impressions It’s been one month with the Lymow One Plus, and after putting this mower through just about everything, I’m impressed. In Part 2, we’re changing out the blades, showing you how to sharpen them, and going over some basic maintenance after a month of real world use. Lymow also sent us some new blades, a hat, and the camouflage skin, so we finally get the new camo wrap installed and completely change the look of the mower. Over the past month, we’ve run the Lymow in 95 degree heat, direct sun, at night, in the rain, and even through a storm. It has continued to finish the job. Our iron gate even blew open and hit the mower, scratching it up, but it kept right on going. The new camouflage wrap ended up covering those scratches and made the mower look brand new again. After a month of running it, I have no complaints. This thing is a little powerhouse. It doesn’t know the word stop. It just knows GO. So far, I’ve been extremely impressed with the Lymow One Plus and would recommend taking a serious look at it if you’re considering a robotic mower. Thanks for watching! Welcome back for another full POV lawn care video! Today we're taking you to one of our absolute favorite properties to maintain, a beautiful little farmhouse tucked away in the Ozark Mountains. Around here we call it The Peacock House because this is where Leonard the peacock decided I was his new best friend last year. This time, you're riding along with us from the moment we arrive until the job is completely finished. The entire job took us about 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete. We mowed the entire property, string trimmed every edge, cleaned everything up, and gave the front hedges their seasonal trim. I handled the mowing and hedge trimming while Jessica took care of the cleanup, quality control, and the final inspection to make sure everything was finished the way we expect. This isn't a highlight reel. It's a real day on the job. We condensed over three hours of work into about an hour so you can experience the entire process without sitting through an entire afternoon. We tried to leave as much of the work in as possible. The only things we removed were the walks between areas, conversations, and other downtime that didn't add anything to the job itself. Today we're back at what we always call "The Fence House." This was one of the very first customers we picked up after moving to the Arkansas Ozarks, and we've been taking care of their property ever since. From lawn maintenance and shrub trimming to house washing, soft washing, fence washing, and more, we handle just about everything outside their home. They're wonderful people, and it's always a pleasure spending the day here. This wasn't even supposed to be a filming day. I happened to have the cameras in the truck, so I figured I'd capture a simple start-to-finish maintenance job. Well... what normally takes me about 1 hour and 15 minutes turned into well over 3 hours once all the cameras, drone shots, and setup time were added. That's something most people never see. A 25-30 minute YouTube video takes a lot more work than just mowing a lawn. Between setting up multiple cameras, moving them around the property, flying the drone, checking audio, and getting different angles, it easily adds another hour and a half—or more—to the job. Since Jessica isn't with me today, I'm handling everything solo, so it definitely made for a long morning. The weather wasn't helping either. Some days it doesn’t even feel like work. Just us, a beautiful Arkansas farm, a long country driveway, and another day doing what we love.
