Putting YARBO to the Test

For quite a while, our viewers had been asking us to get our hands on a YARBO and put it to the test. So we reached out to YARBO, and they provided us with the Lawn Mower Pro to test here on our property in the Ozarks.

We started with the full setup, RTK placement and mapping process, which was surprisingly straightforward. From there, we put the YARBO to work on approximately five acres of our property, including hills, uneven terrain and taller grass.

One of the first things that stood out was the traction. The tracked drive system handles hills and rougher terrain extremely well, and the mower had no problem working through grass that was around 12 inches tall.

Then there was the striping.

The YARBO lays down some of the best stripes we've seen from a robotic mower. The finished cut was incredibly clean, and the striping was right there with what we're used to seeing from our $30,000 commercial equipment.

Once everything is mapped, the YARBO can mow, return to the docking station to recharge, and then head back out to continue where it left off. And after spending the day mowing other people's properties, it's pretty nice coming home and knowing our own grass is already taken care of.

What really makes YARBO different, though, is that it's more than just a mower. The same YARBO Core can be used with different attachments for mowing, trimming, leaf blowing and snow removal, making it a machine that can be used throughout the year.

So far, the Lawn Mower Pro has impressed us with its traction, hill capability, cut quality and especially the striping. We're looking forward to seeing what else the YARBO system can do.
